Friends of Pulaski is hosting our first Back to School Block Party on Sunday, August 24th from noon to 3 pm. Please swing by to connect with old friends and meet new families! There will be delicious food from local spots, including Dimo’s, 5411 Empanadas and GBD bakery. We will also have mini-golf, arts and crafts with Easel Art Studio, a chance to try a variety of musical instruments provided by Bucktown Music, lessons from Yo Yo university and a dunk tank.   See you soon!

Thank you Pulaski community for your financial support!  Because of your generosity through recurring donations, participation in the Valentine’s Match Campaign, and Fun Run Pledges, we are pleased to share that Friends of Pulaski is purchasing $50,000 in computers and other technology for the modular building.  FOP has worked closely with Dr. Bedard and teachers to identify the exact needs and the new devices will be in place by the start of the school year.  The addition of dozens of new computers also coincides with the major network upgrade Pulaski is receiving through CPS and the federal e-rate program.  Prior FOP donations of Chromebooks and charging carts as well as the upgrade to the auditorium projection equipment has boosted access to technology in the upper grades.  Pulaski is also in the process of upgrading the computer labs with new computers.  This investment allows new technology to push all the way to the kindergarten level and continue through 8th grade.  We will share more details as the plans are finalized, but are too excited to keep this a secret!
